Adult Learning Center Osceola programs are
open to individuals who are 16 years of age or older.
Applicants seeking enrollment into one of ALCO's programs
must provide residency documentation, take a placement test,
pay for registration, and pay for tuition.
STEP 1: Registration Requirements
Determine Dependent or Independent Status
Determine Florida Resident or Florida Non-Resident
Status
Take the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) for ABE,
Adult High School, and GED classes
Take the Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System (CASAS)
for ESL classes
Test fee is $25.00
Registration Fee is $15.00 per Fall & Spring Semesters
Florida resident tuition fee is $30.00 per Fall & Spring
semesters
Florida non-resident tuition fee is $120.00 per Fall &
Spring semesters
STEP 3: Counseling and/or Start Class
If ABE, Adult High School, or GED, make counseling
appointment after testing
ABE, Adult High School or GED class start date and time
will be given by counselor
If ESL, class start date and time will be given
immediately after testing
Receive student identification card and parking permit
on the first week of class (cost of student ID and
parking permit included in Registration Fee; if lost,
$6.00 student ID replacement fee and/or $10.00 parking
permit replacement fee)
