Adult High School

The Adult High School provides a way for persons who dropped out of high school for various reasons to return and earn the credits they need for their high school diplomas. The State requires a student to complete a minimum of 24 credits. The Adult High School offers students a chance to earn those credits at their own pace with a flexible schedule. The students must meet the graduation requirements maintaining a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and must pass the FCAT exams to receive a high school diploma.

Each student follows an individualized, self-paced instruction guide for each course of credit.  Credit is awarded upon successful completion of course requirements and the successful passing of a final assessment for each course. Anyone 16 years of age or older not currently enrolled as regular daytime high school student may enroll in the High School program.  Guidance counselors evaluate the student's high school transcript and recommend courses based on the student's level of attainment in high school and his/her personal goals.
