What is ALCO?
ALCO is the Adult Learning
Center Osceola that offers Adult Credit High School,
Corporate Services Institute, ESOL, and GED classes.
Can I register for testing or
for classes over the phone?
Not for testing, nor for Adult
High School, Adult Basic Education, GED, or ESL.
Registration for these classes must be done in person.
Phone
enrollment and payment is accepted for classes such as:
Computer Classes, Conversational Spanish, Conversational
English, and other personal enrichment courses or workshops.
Payment methods accepted by phone include: VISA, MasterCard,
Discover Card, or Debit Card.
How long are the classes?
It depends on each person
individually.
Can I just take the GED test
without taking classes?
Yes. A person can register
anytime for the GED as long as he/she is 18 years of age or
older. You must register in person with a Florida ID
or Drivers' License, Social Security Card and $70 (cash,
money order, VISA, MasterCard).
Can the GED test be taken
online?
Absolutely NOT! The GED
test has to be taken in an official testing center.
ALCO is the only official testing center in Osceola County.
Do you offer computer classes?
Yes. We offer short term
computer classes in software applications such as Microsoft
Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Other classes can
be arranged at ALCO through the Corporate Services

Is ALCO a private school?
No. ALCO is a public
school and a service of the School District of Osceola
County, Florida.
What are the office hours?
The ALCO Office is open from 7:15a.m to
3:30p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 7:15a.m. to
8:00p.m on
Tuesday and Thursday.

Is ALCO accredited?
Yes. ALCO is accredited by
the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
